A German actress, born in Berlin, on November 5, 1940. She started her acting career in the late fifties. She won a Golden Globe Award in 1964 for the film The Prize (1963). She made her debut in the Italian film Men and Noblemen (1959), which she followed with several Italian films, then she returned to Germany, appearing in comedies and dramas, whereupon she went to Hollywood, where she worked on many notable films, and collaborated with many stars. Upon her return to Europe, she worked on television and in the theater, in addition to practicing her lifelong passion in painting.
