An Irish-American actress, born in New York, USA. She is the youngest of three siblings in her family. She worked in Vaudeville Theatre and then was discovered by the producer Joe Rock. She also participated with the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy in presenting eleven films. She began her artistic career by performing comedy roles in 1924, as she participated in the movies Bright Lights and The Last Man on Earth.
