English actress, born in London, England. She played roles in a number of plays adapted from the novels of the writer William Shakespeare after joining the Bristol Old Vic Theater for three years. She collaborated with John Gielgud. She also toured in New York, USA, and moved away from theater to focus on cinema. She is known for Clash of the Titans (1981) and The Haunting (1963).
