An American actress and singer, born in the city of Weatherford, Texas, in the United States. She began her artistic career in the era of silent films. After she began working as a singer in a nightclub, she was drawn to musical theatre and also participated in Broadway theaters. Her other works include None but the Brave (1928), Wild Company (1930), and Enter Madame (1935).
