Writer and sister of the director Steven Spielberg. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1949. After working for her brother's production company, she helped write the the 1988 movie Big. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenwriting. She also co-produced this movie alongside film and series producer James Brooks. She also helped write the 1998 film Small Soldiers.
