An Emirati filmmaker, poet, and writer. She has won many international and regional awards, directed, and produced a number of films, including the documentary Hamama (2010), which won the Best Documentary Award at the 2011 Gulf Film Festival and the Special Jury Award at the 2010 Dubai International Film Festival. She is known for Red Blue Yellow (2013) and Between Two Banks (1999).
