A Hungarian novelist, born on January 5, 1954, in Gyula, Hungary. László Krasznahorkai is known for his dark and melancholic novels, of which has published eight. The American poet Allen Ginsberg was Krasznahorkai's friend and helped him complete his novel "War and War" while he was living in New York. He is known for his collaboration with Hungarian film director Béla Tarr on the films Werckmeister Harmonies (2000), Satanango (1994), and The Turin Horse (2011).
