Indian scriptwriter and academic known for his collaboration with Vinod Chopra Productions with producer Vinod Chopra. He worked as an English teacher at an Indian university before moving to the United States. He wrote plays in both English and Gujarati Hindi. His brother is also a playwright and writer. His parents were also university professors. He went to live in Ohio in the United States. He studied at an American university. He got married and has one daughter. He is known for 3 Idiots (2009), which achieved huge revenues in the Indian market, reaching 64 million dollars.
