American actor who was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on December 7, 1910. He married five women, including Louise Polizzi (1929-1936), with whom he had a child, and Gia Maione (1963-1978), with whom he had two children, and he remained with her until he died in 1978 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA of pneumonia. He used to play the trumpet, following in the footsteps of his brother Leon, and played in several nightclubs until he formed his own band in the 1940s. He became one of the founders of rock and roll. He was a voice actor in 150 films and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
