An American actor who was born in Asbury Park, New Jersey, on October 2, 1895. He received three Stars on the Walk of Fame in 1960 for his work in cinema, television and radio. He also won the Lifetime Award in 2006. At the beginning of the thirties, he met with comedian Lou Castello and they formed a comedy duo that gained wide fame in theater and cinema, whereupon they received absolute starring roles in Buck Privates (1941) and they became the most famous comedian duo in America. Lou Costello is famous for starring in the movies Abbott and Costello Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1953), and Dance With Me, Henry (1956).
