Indian actress, born in Chennai, India. She began her career at the age of fifteen with the Tamil film Jeevanamsam (1968). She also acted in all four dialects: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Her most famous works include Chattakari (1974) and Julie (1975).
