An American actress, born in Dubuque, Iowa, on September 19, 1910. Margaret Lindsay joined the Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York to realize her dream of becoming an actress, but she did not find a job in New York, so she went to England to study acting, and worked in London theaters, then returned to New York to find her big break on Broadway, but she wasn't very successful, so she resorted to the cinema. Throughout her career she appeared in supporting roles, which brought her fame, after signing on with Columbia. Margaret is the sister of actress Jane Gilbert. Among her most notable films: Dangerous (1935), Jezebel (1938), and Scarlet Street (1945). Margaret Lindsay received a star on the Walk of Fame in 1960 and died on May 9, 1981 in Los Angeles, California.
