Turkish-Armenian photojournalist, born in Beyoglu, Istanbul in 1928. He was greatly influenced by cinema in his childhood. His goal was to become a director or playwright, and in 1950, he began working as a journalist for the Yeni Istanbul newspaper, and at the same time, he was studying economics at Istanbul University. He was employed by the Turkish magazine Hayat as head of its photographic department until 1962. He was presented in the British 1961 Photography Yearbook, and he was recognized as one of the seven best photographers in the world. He held various exhibitions in Germany, Paris and the United States of America. He wrote articles and took many pictures of famous people, such as Salvador Dali, Picasso, Churchill and Bertrand Russell. In 1979, he received the first prize in photojournalism from the Turkish Journalists Association. and in 1980, a book of his photos was printed by a famous publishing house, and in 1986, the Hürriyet Foundation published book, which featured his photos, on Mimar Sinan by Professor Aptullah Kuran. His credits include Bul Beni (2011), Bay E (1995), and Journey to the Sun (1999).
