An English actress, born in Torquay, England. She wrote for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Scotland, in addition to writing some episodes for sitcoms. She wrote a semi-autobiographical series called Miranda (2009), adapted from her radio series entitled Miranda Hart's Joke Shop. She won the Glamour Award for Best Writer, the Glamour Award for Best Comedy Actress, and was also nominated for several BAFTA TV Awards.
