Fernando Eimbcke is a Mexican director and writer, born in 1970 in Mexico City, Mexico. He went to the National School of Film Arts at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where he studied film direction. His feature film directorial debut was Duck Season (2004), which won numerous film festival awards, including the Ariel Award for Best Film. He is known for Berlin, I Love You (2019), Lake Tahoe (2008), and Club Sandwich (2013). He received two awards at the Berlin International Film Festival for his film, Lake Tahoe (2008).
