A Norwegian choreographer, dancer, and actor, born in Norway. He married Swedish actress Mai Zetterling. He is known for his villainous roles on British television and films. He appeared in Moulin Rouge (1952), directed by John Huston, and Doctor Who, starring William Hartnell, and he also choreographed dances for the movie Casino Royale (1967).
