Marion Davies was an American film actress, producer, screenwriter, and philanthropist. She was born on January 3, 1897, Brooklyn, New York. In her teenage years, she appeared in several Broadway musicals and one movie, Runaway Romany (1917), followed by a variety of business as an actress. She was the hostess of many sumptuous events for the Hollywood elite. She died on September 22, 1961, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
