An Italian writer, actor and director, born in Naples, Italy. He was married three times, including to actress Thea Prandi, with whom he had two children, and to writer Isabella Quarantotti. He made his acting debut in the film I Sing for You Alone (1933). His works include Napoletani a Milano (1953), Filomena Marturano (1951), and Side Street Story (1950). He passed away on October 31, 1984, at age 84.
