An American writer, born in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. She obtained a BA in history from the University of Connecticut in 1954, where she also learned German and French. She began her career in printing and worked in Ethiopia, Finland, and the Netherlands. In 2014, she presented the series The Assets on ABC.
