An Italian director and writer, born in Rome, Italy. In addition to being a writer known for his satirical style, he is also a cartoonist. He is the father of the writer Enrico Vanzina, the writer and director Carlo Vanzina, and the grandfather of the actress Isotta Vanzina. His works include Cops and Robbers (1951) and Execution Squad (1972).
