A Syrian musician and poet, born in Babanna, Syria. He graduated from an industrial high school in Latakia in 1962. He worked as a technical expert in television transmission in Damascus. He began writing poetry in 1958 and published it in Syrian newspapers and magazines. He wrote a number of long radio series, such as "Praise be to a Poet," for Riyadh Radio and a television program for the World Islamic Call Society in Tripoli. He also participated in writing songs for the series Information City (2004).
