Iranian-American director, screenwriter, producer, and actress, born in England, United Kingdom. She moved to Miami, Florida with her family when she was young and then settled in Bakersfield, California. She graduated from the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. She directed A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, which was the first Iranian-Western movie about vampires.
