A French philosopher and sociologist, born in 1921. One of his most notable achievements is the encyclopedic book “La Méthode,” which was published in six parts and collected his experience in many sciences such as biology, physics, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, linguistics, and communication. In addition to his philosophical studies and research in the biological field, Edgar Morin devotes a portion of his intellectual reflections to cinema and has books in this field. He also directed the magazine Arguments between 1956 and 1962, He co-directed a film entitled Chronicle of a Summer with director Jean Rouch in 1961. Edgar Morin is famous for his Complexity theory. His work has been translated into 28 languages ​​in more than 40 countries. Morin previously held the position of president of the European Agency for Culture at UNESCO and received a number of awards, including the Knight Award of the First Order in Literature and the Arts and the Medal of Honor from the French government.
