An American actress, born on March 5, 1920, in Stanton, Iowa, as Virginia Christine Kraft. Virginia married actor and director Fritz Feld (1940-1993), had two children and remained with him until his death. Among her most important films are The Killers (1946), Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), Judgment at Nuremberg (1961), and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (1967). Virginia worked in radio during her studies at the University of California, then trained with actor/director Fritz Feld, whom she married after that, and in 1942, she signed a contract with Warner Company, and her first film was Edge of Darkness (1943). She became a favorite of Stanley Kramer, who included her in many of his films. Virginia was good at playing the piano in concert, studied dance and acting, and was fluent in four languages. Virginia died on July 24, 1996, in Los Angeles, California, USA, of heart failure.
