An English actor, born in London, England, to a father who works as a management consultant. His family moved to Dublin, Ireland, and he attended an Anglican boarding school in England. He participated in amateur theatrical acting, before studying law at Cambridge University. He also presented several artistic works, including Joking Apart and Toast of London.
