A director, screenwriter, and comedian, born on July 20, 1963, and raised in Syracuse, New York. His interest in acting began after graduating from high school. He followed in the footsteps of his brother, actor and singer Robert Whaley, and moved to New York. He started his acting career, performing alongside well-known actors in films such as Ironweed, Born on the Fourth of July, The Doors, and JFK. Frank directed and wrote some films, including New York City Serenade and Joe the King, in addition to acting in films such as Career Opportunities and Swimming with Sharks. Frank also co-wrote films with his wife on occasion, including Lloyd of the House.
