An American film producer, screenwriter, and director, born on March 29, 1950, in New York, United States, and raised in Philadelphia. Wilkinson started his career as a musician before he attended film school at Temple University. He has written several works with his frequent writing partner Stephen J. Rivele. He writes biographical films frequently and is best known for Nixon (1995), Ali (2001), and Birth of the Dragon (2016).
