An American playwright and academic, born on September 2, 1954, in Brooklyn, New York, United States. He attended John Dewey High School in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated from Purchase College with a BFA in Visual Arts. Margulies is a professor of English and Theatre & Performance Studies at Yale University. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for the play Dinner with Friends. His credits include The End of the Tour (2015) and Baby Boom (1988-1989).
