An American writer and director, born in New Britain, Connecticut, in the United States. He studied at Dartmouth College and the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He began writing scripts for Hollywood films. He wrote Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), Big Trouble in Little China (1986), and Stealth (2005).
