An American actor, born in Los Angeles, United States. Before relocating to Glendale, California, he was raised in Bakersfield, California. In the early 1960s, he started appearing in a number of movies and television shows after studying acting at Los Angeles City College and California State University in Los Angeles. In addition to his career as an actor, he was the owner and co-founder of the Hollywood casting firm Baker-Nisbet. He also participated in theater. He is known for In the Heat of the Night (1967), Casino (1995), and Murder in the First (1995).
