An American writer, creator, and producer of television series, born on August 8, 1935, in Cokeburg, Pennsylvania, USA, to an Italian father and a Serbian mother. Donald served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 to 1959, attaining the rank of sergeant and receiving the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal. In 1961, he received a degree in journalism from Pennsylvania State University. He was previously married to Deborah Pratt and is best known for Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988), Quantum Leap (1989-1993), and NCIS (2003-2022).
