An Indian actress. She started her career with a dance group, while her first screen appearance was in Amanat (1997). She is known for Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain (1999), Hu Tu Tu (1999) and Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001), for which she was nominated for the Best Actress Award at the Filmfare Festival for the first time.
