An American actor, whose family moved to Rockland County, New York, then to Massachusetts, and he began his career in commercials in 1971. He studied at the Film Department at San Francisco State University, worked as a stage actor, and starred in plays on Broadway in works such as the play Torch Song Trilogy in 1984, He then went on theatrical tours, and in 1984 and 1985, he played the role of Arnold Peikoff in a film of the same name. He then moved to California in 1986, and his works include The Prince and the Pauper (1990), Aladdin (1992), and Transformers (2007).
