He is a slang poet who was born in Barnabal, Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate on November 22, 1958. He obtained a BA of Medical and Veterinary Sciences from Zagazig University. He became a member of the Egyptian Writers Union and the Cairo Atelier Association for Artists and Writers. He published a collection of colloquial poetry. He also wrote songs for a number of series, including Hayat Al-Gohary (1997), The Tattoo (2001), and Mariam's Woes (2006).
