A Franco–Belgian author and director, born on March 28, 1960, in Lyon, France. In 1987, he received his Ph.D. for his thesis "Diderot and Metaphysics" from the Paris-Sorbonne University. He obtained Belgian citizenship in 2008. His credits include Heavy Weather (1996), Odette Toulemonde (2006), and Oscar and the Lady in Pink (2009).
