Dominican-American actress, born on December 3, 1982 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She moved to the United States at a young age. She completed a bachelor's degree in psychology at Hunter College in New York in 2008. She registered herself with an acting studio and attended BIH Studios in New York, and while there, she was signed by the talent agency Shirley Grant Management. She is known for Orange Is the New Black (2013-2019), In the Heights (2021), and The Cobbler (2014).
