An English actress, born in Catterick. She was raised primarily in Malaysia and Nigeria. Robinson College, Cambridge, awarded her a scholarship to study law when she was a student at Berkhamsted Collegiate Boarding School. She attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama to study acting. She is known for The Government Inspector (2005) and Cranford (2007-2009).
