An American-British author, born in New York. He had close relationships with well-known writers. In 1902, he published the novel “The Wings of the Dove”, then “The Ambassadors” in 1903, “The Golden Bowl” in 1904. Many of his books have been adapted into films, including “What Maisie Knew”, which was adapted into a film of the same title in 2012.
