Irish-Canadian novelist, playwright, producer, and director born in Dublin, Ireland on 24 October 1969. She became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2016. Her works include Pluck, Immaculate Conceptions: Inside a Lesbian Baby Boom, and Room.
