A French writer and director, born on May 13, 1961, in Guadeloupe, French West Indies. He is a former rugby union player. Philippe trained at the Sporting Club universitaire de France. He left the club to join Racing Club de France in 1982. In 1999, he was awarded the Prix Sport Scriptum, which rewards the best work of the year devoted to sport. In 2017, he directed the short film Ze French Touch, which promotes the French bid to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup. His works include Papi Sitter (2020), We Were Young (2015), and Jo's Boy (2011).
