An American actress, born in Los Angeles, California, USA. She received an Emmy Award in 1977 and a star on the Walk of Fame in 1984 for her work in film. She married four husbands: Allan Richard Rider (1971-1974), actor and director Michael Brandon (1976-1979), actor and producer Henry Kingi (1981-1984), with whom she had two children before their divorce, and producer, actor, and director Lawrence Mortorff (1990-1993). She is known for The Paper Chase (1973), The Bionic Woman (1976), Nighthawks (1981), and Ricochet (1991). She became the "Queen of TV Movies." After she gained worldwide fame as the Bionic Woman, she became known for her activism in the fields of human rights, domestic violence, child sexual abuse, animal welfare. and protecting the environment.
