An American actress, who was born in Palisades, New Jersey, on February 27, 1910. Joan Bennett received a star on the Walk of Fame in 1960. Joan Bennett was best known for starring in: Scarlet Street (1945), Father of the Bride (1950), and Father's Little Dividend (1951). Joan appeared in the theater at the age of four and appeared on the cinema screen at the age of six in the movie The Valley of Decision (1916), and then appeared in several films. She maintained her popularity in the thirties and forties and worked in two television series, but during the seventies she devoted her self to theater and television. She died on December 7, 1990 in Scarsdale, New York, of a heart attack.
