A French actor and singer, born on February 8, 1915, in Alexandria, Egypt, as Lambros Worloou. He married Janine Guyon, with whom he had two children; François and Hélène. Among his most notable works are An American in Paris (1951), Loves of Casanova (1947), and Le cavalier noir (1945). His notable songs include "Ciao, Ciao Bambina." He participated in many musicals in the theaters of Paris and London as well as on Broadway in the 1940s and 1950s, such as "Latin Quartier" in London and "Arms and the girl" on Broadway. Georges Guétary died on September 13, 1997, in Mougins, Alpes-Maritimes, France, of a heart attack.
