An American director and actor, born in Highland Park, Illinois, USA. He attended a private high school in Germany, Schloss Neubeuern, then studied at Stanford University, USA, and obtained a degree in international relations. He then worked in a bank in Chicago, studied acting, and joined the faculty at Savannah College of Art and Design, where he taught theater arts. He was nominated for the Joseph Jefferson Award in 1984, in the directing category for the play The Time of Your Life, which he presented at the Goodman Theater in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
