An American singer, songwriter, and actress, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. She began her career in the early 1960s. She was the lead singer of a band. Her father worked for Baldwin Locomotive and her mother worked at St. Agnes Hospital. She and her sister Barbara formed a band called the Elmtones with three other friends. She graduated from high school in 1962 and starred in the film Your Arms Too Short To Box. She also appeared in the film A Soldier's Story and participated in the television series A World's End, American Horror Story, and the talk show The Tonight Show.
