A Peruvian writer and journalist, who is the son of the philosopher Carlos Cueto Fernandini and Lilly Caballero de Cueto. He spent his childhood between Paris and Washington, where he studied at the Académie Lafayette. He returned to Lima, Peru, at the age of seven, and studied...Read more at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He obtained his doctorate from the University of Texas with a thesis on the stories of Juan Carlos Onetti. He is the author of ten books and short novels. His most notable literary works include Highlighting the Battle of the Past, and The Devil and the Other Love. He won the Wiracocha Prize and the German Anna Segers Prize and received a scholarship from the Guggenheim Foundation in the category of fiction in literature.
