An Italian screenwriter, born in Parma, Italy. He began writing in the early 1950s. His first musical comedy was the film Lina e il cavaliere. He also participated in writing seven films directed by Lucino Visconti, and they collaborated togther in the film The Damned, which received an Academy Award nomination for Best Screenplay.
