A Spanish actress, born in Ferrol, Spain. She studied at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Universidade De Santiago De Compostela). She became famous after she participated in the film The Sea Inside, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2004. She is fluent in the Galician, Spanish, and Catalan regional languages in Spain. She also speaks English and French with varying degrees of fluency.
