An American film and television actor, born on May 31, 1934, in Binghamton, New York, USA, as Dana James Hutton. He married Maryline Poole, and after their divorce, he married Lynni M. Solomon. He had two children, Timothy Hutton and Punch Hutton. Jim had the opportunity to win a scholarship in journalism from Syracuse University in 1952, and after he got expelled, he studied at Niagara University. Hutton joined the United States Army in 1956 and appeared in over 40 Army training films before moving to Berlin to serve in special services, and he founded the American Community Theater. Hutton's film debut was in A Time to Love and a Time to Die (1958), and he is best known for his roles in The Green Berets (1968), The Hallelujah Trail (1965), Hellfighters (1968), and Where the Boys Are (1960). He worked with MGM Studios and Universal Pictures.He was nominated for a Golden Laurel Award in 1961. Hutton passed away on June 2, 1979, in Los Angeles, California, USA, of liver cancer.
