French writer, actress and director, born in Paris, France on August 3, 1928. She began her artistic career as a dancer at the age of twenty and then signed her contract with 20th Century Fox to perform her role in the movie Manon (1949) and won the Golden Lion Award at the Venice Film Festival. She is known for The Black Rose (1950), Bluebeard (1952), and La ironía del dinero)(1957). She died in France on July 19, 2010 due to lung cancer at the age of 81.
